  • Vice President of Internal Affairs

    Martin Ishtayev is the Vice President of Internal Affairs. He was also the Social Director for the year of 2015-2016. Martin has four missions for this year; to ensure a proper development of the internal portfolio using prior experience at UCS as a touch base in order to identify the areas of improvement, utilize all available resources thus increasing the impact of the existing outreach for better relationship and communication between academic society and student body, foster development of the internal quality control mechanisms that will serve as a constructive feedback for a greater growth and professionalism, and coordinate internal portfolio with respect to equitable manners all while promoting excellence and integrity.   • Professional Development Director

    ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
    Shubdeep Randhawa is the Professional Development Director. She is in her fourth year, specializing in accounting and majoring in economics. Shubdeep was a PD associate last year at UCS and is thrilled to be back. She was also the VP Internal for the UofT South Asian Alliance club and was a dancer for the SAA dance team. Shubdeep also volunteers for UTM AccessABILITY Resource Centre. Her mission for this year as a part of the UCS council is to provide relevant opportunities to UTM students where they can develop the crucial skills required for the business world as well as expand their network. She loves dancing, competitive debating, travelling and poetry. Shubdeep is currently learning to play piano and aspiring to be a morning person.

  • Social Director

    Viral Shah is the Social Director. He is in his 4th Year as an accounting specialist. Viral's mission as a part of the 2016-2017 UCS council is to encourage students to be a part of extra curricular events on campus and help them develop the skills they need to be business leaders of tomorrow. For the upcoming 2016-2017 school year he will also be a UTM Launch Leader and mentor a class full of students. Aside from school, Viral works part time at TD as a bank teller and at Tommy Hilfiger as a Sales Associate. He loves every superhero movie and his favourite superhero is Deadpool. Viral also enjoy playing volleyball in his free time.

  • Communications Director

    Patricia Ly is the 2016-2017 Communications Director responsible for creating UCS's quarterly magazine, The Executive. She is a third-year Accounting Specialist student. Patricia started my UCS journey as an associate under the previous Communications Director. Her mission as part of council this year is to continue The Executive's tradition of giving students tips and tricks on how to succeed academically and professionally. Another goal she has for this year is to continue highlighting the great opportunities UCS creates for the Commerce student body. Aside from UCS, Patricia is an avid reader and a big fan of doing absolutely nothing when she has spare time.

  • Media Director

    Rafael Weiland is the Media Director. He is in his 4th specializing in marketing. Rafael's mission as the media director is to help UCS on reaching students effectively and efficiently by showcasing our mission and objectives. His goal is to project a positive image that is representative of the society, which will attract students and companies to engage with us. Before coming to UTM, he was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Rafael enjoys playing the guitar and watching movies on his free time and is very passionate about music and art. Rafael is also interested in film and digital photography as well as darkroom photo developing. Apart from UCS, he is also part of The Varsity as a videographer.

    Rebeeyah Jabeen is the Corporate Social Responsibility Director. She is in her Fourth year specializing in accounting. Rebeeyah's mission for the 2016/2017 year is to host charity events that will raise monetary and non-monetary donations for both national and international charity organizations while educating participants about the charities and where the donations are going. She is the NCCP Archery Coach on campus and the Senior Advisor with the UTM Archery Club. An interesting fact about Rebeeyah is that her name means Spring (the season.
